Music

A closer peek at the music world

Music is an important part of my life.  Most of the hours in a day are spent listening to some form of music. I listen to it to soothe my spirits in whatever I do.  I remember that as a young boy I would at times lach words to express how I felt.  Then one day I went to church and there was this choir full of kids my age that would practise every Sunday after the mass.  I must have been around the age of five/six.

After a wek I had gained the counrage to joint the choir practise to see what it was like.  I remember that I thoroughly enjoyed the session.  However, much to my dismay the teacher said someone sounded off key and came to the conclusion that the lad that was muddling up the sweet sound was me.  He made me stay behind to practise notes and singing on key.

After the embarassment had subsided, and I got into the private session I felt a strong surge of relief.  I was alleviated because the teacher had seen that I trully enjoyed sining and he helped to do so in tune within just one hour of extra time!  From that time on I did not miss a single beat of any lesson, for I trully was on a high even when trying to hit the low notes (adam's apples hadn't shown any signs yet) at that young age.

Over time my interests in the different genres of music have changed.  Unforunately for me, I have not taken chances that I should have in order to cultivate and improve my vocal skills.  I am working on changing that though, and I have several projects lined up of which you will definitely hear what exactly is in the making.  I hope to make something meaningful out of my journey in life that has till now wondered along the chords of musical instruments, musicals and the melodies of daily life in general.

Some of my friends are way ahead of me in the music industry.  They have persued being able to express themselves in music at greater lengths than myself. One of them is a person I have a deep rooted respect for.  His name is Nigel Hove and I am convinced he will make some nice clear notes of expression in the music world of today.  I have had the pleasure to see him at work and even work alongside him.  Nigel is the person I have asked to help me write some articles about music and I am glad he has accepted!  His name is one you are going to read and hear of a lot in this blog.
